We took on this project for a multitude of reasons. The primary of which is to prove that it does not take a genius or a lot of tallent to make a chebbie fast.
There is a lot of time and money in the chassis, trans, converter, and many related componants of this car.
The engine will be untouched out of the crate as it comes from GM.
Just some careful chassis tuning, carb work, and creative ignition theorys put into play should make this car a .7 to .9 under the index player almost out of the box.
The GM crate motor HP ratings are almost as grossly underrated as the higher end FoMoCo ones are over rated.

Website is still all FoMoCo as I am.
A guy's gotta make a living doesn't he?
Ford dealers still sell used GM cars don't they?
Like I said, just proving a point.
You have to be smarter, sharper, cooler, and slicker to race a Ford.
Put a Ford racer behind a chebbie program and it will always be fast(er).
