http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=86&view=1I'm still kicking around the idea of getting new push rods. These seem like a good price. But I don't know the stock length of my push rods,a 1969 351w. I would hate to start the car and find out I should have replaced my push rods. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=9466&view=1Whats the differnce between the two.The summitracing brand say they are designed for rail type rockers and are harden. The comps aren't harden, both are weld on tips. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

I used the Comp "magnum" pushrods in my 372C because I bent several of the "welded" Ford Motorsports puchrods on a high rpm run. Don't skimp on valvetrain parts. if you do, you will only buy them twice.....

DON'T DO IT! I just installed CC rods in my new 460 4 days ago. It's on the engine stand, oil system hasn'nt even been pressurized yet! 5 bent pushrods! I didn't check them out of the box, but I'm only running 130# seated and 330# @ .550, and turned it over by hand! Went down to Chet Herbert and got a set of chromemoly and gee... none are bent.

Ron,Just clean up your stock pushrods. They are plenty for your stock springs and little cam. When you get serious you'll need the good stuff. The p/r's in the 408w are now one peice and about $140 a set. Tried the welded in ends hardened rods from the 351w earlier but lost a welded in end on one w/the roller cam. SteveW

RonThat stock valvetrain is good to 6500RPM (or valvefloat) with no problems. They are simple enough to fix if they do bend.
