I know no big deal, well it was a 1st for me at least doing it all myself.

The lifters took a a few to learn that if you just slide then in and out a few times they come right out.
Also the rockers are rail type and look to be in ok shape. The lifters dont look that bad either.
The timing CHAIN said made in Japan and had 'DID' on it.
So it must have been replaced at some time. The gears look to be in good shape. No broken or chipped teeth.
The intake gasket looked like one intake port was not sealed all the way.

I had a few question about part numbers.

The heads on the under side nubers are C90E I pretty those are 69 351w heads.

And the cam has a backwards 'B'and then a reg, 'F'on it.And on the end flat part of the cam 'FM 41 DMC

The crank gear # HS 431
Cam gear # 6-406t AFS

It was not a hard job,but I still have to make it run again.

Thanks for help.

Ron?
Just put plenty of K-Y on it first and it should slide right in...
Unless it's been needing a cam change for a while already??

Truely a blessed event!! It is a big deal... I still remember my first (cam swap). You got all your guys here for ya.

Paul it will be better once the every thing is back together and running right. And hope for no leaks any were.
The scoop is a bolt on type it's help with 10 bolts 4 on either side and 2 across the back.I also added two front braces last summer. They go from the underside front edge of the scoop and they bolted through the hood.I hope it all holds on.I sure hope after typing this your question wasn't just a joke.

Stuart I'm using the this cam because it was a real good deal from SteveW.
Trying to keep the bugget down and still have fun.It really all started becasue I had to change my timing gasket. Then it became a new water too,and balancer, new long tube headers, maybe the oil pan gasket too.

LOL @ itlbrnmoff

Paul last summer was the 1st time I've had my car to a 1/4 mile track. The scoop did get a small crack at the ever tip.Just from the 92-92mph passes. So your about things flying off.I put the hood pins in the before I went racing just for that reason.
I tried to reinforce the front of scoop has much has could.I hope it holds this year.If not I may have to get a lower profile boss scoop.
If you have any tips on the scoop please let me know.

Look out for windshield trim, goofy windshield wipers, loose monikers and letters especially on leading edges and high pressure areas.

When I first got the Lightning I did something incredibly stupid, thank goodness for the Z rated Goodyear F-1s. I had it out on I-81 in western Virginia around 3 in the morning and said let's see what it'll do and hammered it. The max on the SVT speedo is 140, but it keeps going, no speed governor either like a standard F150. At about a tick past 140, I heard a buzzing noise that lasted about a half a second and then stopped. It sort a knocked me to my senses and I got out of it. The next day I found the rubber windshied trim had been sucked out the top of the windshield and by the marks in paint on the hood, the bug deflector had laid itself over flat on the hood.

no BS

... as far as the scoop goes, you may wanna loose it or go fo a cowl type.

Hey Scoop...take the scoop off and turn it around backwards, then take some bodyfiller and smooth it in to the hood...that's what I did on my factory scoop, but it was already backwards...I was using another hood, so I installed the scoop on the better hood moved 3" closer to the cowl, then molded it...it was not that big of a deal, but I think it looks better now...
That should cut your wind resistance, and turn your hood into cowl induction...
Just a thought...
