306? OK,ok...I'm ready to admit...peanuts are for elephants and Billy Beer... I'm wondering can I run the 750dp and not be over-carbed? My reasoning is that later, I might want to build a 351W, then I'll already have a carb for it...(too cheap) Or, I could keep feedin' it peanuts until it starts $hittin' peanut-butter...? Or, I could take the E-brock back to a certain Mustang shop proprietor and shove it up his a$$ until HE $hits peanut-butter...? Or, I could buy the 650dp now and end up under-carbed if I want to use it on a 351W... Got any suggestions? ------------------ Mustang Lover... Blue Oval Bleeder... I've got the scars to prove it... If and when you build a 351w will it be a mild or wild set up? Also how long until you start to build the 351w.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Just go ahead and buy the 750 now. You know you will always be upgrading. 4779 is a great all around Holley DP carb.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." That's GRRRREAT!! You guys drive a hard bargain...I'm sold... This Mustang I have DID have a 351W in it at first, with the SROD tranny...I don't think it was issued with the 351 though...we pulled the 351 in my driveway and it was MISSING the OIL PUMP!! The engine was toast!! A former buddy of mine just drove the car 30 miles with me following to my house with no oil pump??? The engine quit 3 times on the way,(seized) but it eventually made it on it's own...a testament to the durability of a Ford small block, but what a waste... I'm not planning anytime soon to re-build a 351W, but I'd rather have a carb to pass on to one if I do... Thanks, PT ------------------ Mustang Lover... Blue Oval Bleeder... I think the 650dp would be enough carb for your 306.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html
