I have a ? about my shocks that are on my 68 stang now.I have Gabriel Strider 3 way adjustables they say reg.,firm, and xfirm for the ajustments.I have them on the front and rear. Are these shock settings aprox. the same as the summit or CE drag shocks.I have the fronts set at reg.and the rears set at firm for now. Still havent made a trip down the strip yet but getting there. I bought these shock a few years ago before I knew much about drag racing so If they wont work I'll be upgrading. Bob

They are very similar Bob. Gabrial manufactures the adjustable shocks for both C&E and Summit. The valving is considerably looser in the dedicated race shocks though. Your settings are on the money for what you have. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Alex I set my Summit shocks at the Reg setting fronts. And the car seem to lift less then it did with old stock shocks. From inside the car it dose not seem to lift has high or stay up has long. I knew you'll have fun with that line. Are those setting always right or should I pull the shocks and try them by hand.I checked them before I installed they it seemed to the right setting?SCOOP ------------------ oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Eric no they seem to be working better now.Maybe they just needed to be used a few times. The front of the car lifts good.I still have wheel spin but alot better then it was.The tires now leave dark marks, they use to leave real lite marks.I hope that means that more tire is getting to the ground. At least thats how I was taking it. Removing the sway bar seemed to have helped the most.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Single or double adjustables? How much tire? What does the car weigh? With or without a trans brake Jerry?------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." I would start out with the fronts set at zero and the rears at 3 or 4 Jerry. Tighten the fronts one click at a time if it wheel stands to much. If it spins a tick back off the rears on click soft. Soft is counter clock wise and hard is clock wise.
