I got the Summit racing adjustable front shocks. After 4 wrong shocks they finally they got it right. Not until I got home did notice they still gave me one wrong shock.
Any ways they got it right.
I couldn't believe how bad my old shocks were. They were two different brands and one was alot older then the other.

With the new shocks set on "R"which should be 90-10 setting and felt like the right setting.
The car handled better then ever in the corners. But I didn't notice any difference leaving from a stop.I think it lifted better with the old shocks. But I'll have to drive it more and get it to the track to see for sure.
Some one had put one of those coil spacer in both front springs.I took them out,It lowered the car alitte.Do you think that changed anything?

'Coil spacers' should raise the car. That may have been done when the 351W went in...

I know I forgot to add in the 1st time, that I removed them both, and that lowered the car alittle.
The spacers were bolt in type that had a point facing the shocks. Both shocks had dents from the spacers. So I didn't want to reuse them with new shocks.I can hardly notice the difference with or without them.
The ride is better with the 90-10 then the old shocks. The front end came up more easy with the old shocks but I'm hoping the new ones will keep it up longer.

Took my sway bar OFF that really let the front end go up more.
The ride is better then I thought it would be.I drove the car for some time both on and off the freeway.I even went on a S turn off at about 60mph like I always do.The car handle as good as ever.
I didn't see any adverse affects from removing the sway bar.
I just wanted to share so others would know, what to expect when taking off the sway bar.I dont road race the now and never have.

Ron,
When I take off my front sway bar, the car definitely does NOT corner well, and I have the 620 LB coils! I think you must have the stock 5/8? swaybar? I have 1" front and 3/4" rear; the ragtop's were not made to corner as they twist like a pretzel! I also want the 90/10 shocks for the track, and looser springs.

Why do you think I went ahead and took it off?
I knew you were right all along.

Dave,I only had the stock sway bar,and 195-6-14 tires. And the rear on my car has little to no sway at all.The lift bars took out alot of movement from the rear end of the car. It's a blast to drive now,EXCUSE ME WHILE I KISS THE SKY.

I got to take my car on a nice long back road today.
I can now leave at 2000rpm at less then half throttle and then full it once I get rolling about 15-20 feet.Or leave at idle them half gas them full. Both with very little tire spin.So the 90-10 shocks and swaybar removele are helping.
I did a few 2200rpm luanchs at full throttle.I would leave a big black patch of rubber and about 30feet of spinning.
I luanched one time at 1800rpm at 1/3 throttle and then hit the throttle at about 15 feet out.I got a very little bog then just go BABY.

This back is just in ok shape and it was dam cold out too.

Hey Ron,

It must take a while to warm up the stang in that cold weather.

I was in S. Lake Tahoe last week and it was 26*F!! Really cold.

Erik I drove it easy for about a 1/2 hour 1st.
It's been getting to about 40 here.
It was about 34 or so when I had it out today but sunny. And it's a dry cold.
