Alright guys, We got the 8" 3.55:1 trac-loc that SteveW and I rebuilt installed(thanks Steve!! ) and it's great!! We filled it with 80-90w and 1 bottle of Motorcraft friction modifier. Going around the block the first time it was sort of shaking and twitching, but after that block it was fine. I guess it takes a few revolutions to mix up the friction modifier.

Also installed a 3/16" starter shim cause when I mashed the accelerator pedal it would rub against the starter gear. All gone now!!

Going to install a trans cooler on Sunday!! Powertrain and Drivetrain are 95% complete!! Going to trick out the trunk and interior sloooowwly now .

I imagine the clutches needed a bit of friction to seat into themselves. When I built my T-loc it did the same thing... and like yours, only briefly.

3.55's are a great ratio Is that what was in it before?
