Ok I got the holley spring kit for my 600 vs holley.I used the white spring which the kit said is the lightest one.The car seems to run fine with it.No bog at all,so far.At 1800 in 3rd gears if you floor it,it has a real slight delay{not a bog} then it gose good.Thats the only time you feel anything like that.Off the line it's good, and at mid range it's good too. I'm I there,or is there more I can test or do for the secondarys, and to get more out of this carb.I'll no better on Sat,when I take it to Fallen raceway. But for now it seems to have less punch then I did with the carter 625cfm.But it sure dose run more smooth now.It dose not grab 2nd as hard.Sometimes dosen't even crip the tires. The carb now has the white VS spring,8.5 power valve,63 pri jets, meter plate that come out to 79 jets.A #31 accl squirters,a 30cc accl pump. If it is fine in the other gears I would leave it alone Scoop. But.......if you really want to get that hesitation out then take the spring back out and stretch it a tiny (I do mean tiny) bit. That will stiffen it up a little more. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator/ non 65-66 Mustang owner sensitivity co-ordinator NHRA/IHRA/SRA/MCA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Thanks Alex I'll leave it alone for now.I'm going to bring the spring kit with me to the track. And if I have time I'll change them there. To see if any of them make any difference. Is there anything else I should change before Sat.Like going bigger or smaller jets or power valve change it to a 6.5,or squiter size change it to a larger or smaller one ect????? I did add the STUB STACK to it.Dose that need changes to carb to make it work better? Don't do anything except for the sub stack until you make a run and look at the spark plugs Scoop. Just look at #1 and #8 plugs and make sure they are not too light or too dark. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator/ non 65-66 Mustang owner sensitivity co-ordinator NHRA/IHRA/SRA/MCA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Scoop put a small piece of paper (like a busness card about 1/2" X 1/2" slit so it fits tight on the shaft) on the vac actuator shaft and slide it up to the case then make a hard pass. Then see where the paper moved. That will tell you if the secondarys are openning all the way.------------------ Glen 67 GT 390 65 Galaxie 500 XL 4 Speed It was not a Red Light they gave me a Slow Tree

I was in snow today when I hiked to the peak of Mt. Arrowsmith. Had my Ice axe and didn't need crampons. Dave

Scoop I don't know if you have the quick change top on your vacuum housing or not but it makes changing the springs much easier and much quicker..Without it you have to take the housing right off the carb to get at one screw. You never seem to have enough time at the track to try all the changes you'd like so anything to speed things up is a big help.
