Scoop, I have these all the way round on my car.You have to totally compress the shock and then turn it(you can hear it clicking)for the 3 different adjustments and there are 3 little letters to turn them to.Theres no way you could adjust the front ones on the car, rear ones maybe by undoing them at the spring, pushing up and turning.I have my front shocks set at 70/30 and the car handles better than it did with the old worn out shocks. One word of caution,I did have a hard time adjusting the shocks because some times they wouldn't click on the little marks so I would try to figure out where I was by how hard they pushed in and pulled out by hand. The weird part was I could never really get a pair of them to feel exactly the same. The guy at the speed shop said it was just because they had been laying on the shelf and once they got cycled a few times on the car they would be ok.I was never 100% sure I had them all adjusted the same 70/30 front and 50/50 rear.I don't know if this is normal or not but I think next time I might not get the adjustable ones.

I really like the QA-1's I was skeptical but after putting a set on the front of my car I am sold. they adjust easy. Now if I could just spring the $$ for a rear set... BTW Alex sells these. I didn't know this until after I bought my pair. I'll get my rear ones from him. They make bolt in ones not just coil overs like I run. check it out I think you'll like them better.

Jerry thanks I'm sure your 100% right about the QA1 but they are way out of my budget.
Are the CE,any better then the cheaper Summit racing brand.

mustangboy,
How offten do you have to adjust the shocks??
I was thinking once I found a setting the car liked I'd just leave them there, unless I'm going on a road trip.

I haven't adjusted the shocks since I put them on the car last spring. They seem to work well its just the adjustment part I didn't like but maybe it was just because they were laying around like the guy said.I would like to try them in the 90/10 position and go back to the track and see what happens. But the way I have them set now they transfer good and the car still handles well on the street, you could just set them how you like em and leave them alone.

Cool, let me know I was going to get then this week.I can wait,if you change them I'll take then for sure. Used is good and cheap is better.
More money for much needed front end parts.

I had the CE 3 way adjustable shocks on my granada. They seemed to work pretty good for the money. I was able to adjust mine while they were on the car. I had to take the top mount off, compress the shock all the way, and then reach down there with a screw driver to turn them, but it was easier doing it that way then taking them off.

The Hal shocks I have now are much better, but for a low buck street/strip car, teh CE's arent too bad.
