He's a hel! of a great guy! Melissa's sponsor is personal friends with the Edelbrocks and he introduced us to them. They were at Sears Point racing their TransAm cars in the Wine Country Classic. Vic was driving a Boss 302, and his daughter was driving Yunic's old black and gold Camaro. Now I know how the other half lives. SteveW

Too , chance meetings like that don't come around very often.I saw Carrol Shelby at the Fabulous Fords Forever show at Knott's Berry Farm a few weeks ago. I can't really say I 'met' him; he was surrounded by show-goers, myself being one of them. Even still, just standing in the man's shadow was awe-inspiring

Thumper,He was a regular Joe! And running laps in the Boss like a kid even though he's 65+ years old. He's very cool and he likes Labradors too. He flew in, in his Jet while the crew drove the semi with his 5 cars. The Boss 302 had a problem with it's brakes so he had the guys change the front rotors, it took them about 10 minutes. After lunch he had all the time in the world for us, he signed a Edelbrock hat for Melissa, my wife and I and talked dogs. He talked about his old dog that liked to jump in the jet and get in the co-pilot seat and freak the other pilots out. Arron was wined and dined all w/e by the Edelbrock family. I want to be adopted. Yeah Steve,That Boss 302 sounded like a big block too! I forget who's car it was back in the day, but they are all authentic Trans-am race cars from the 60/70's. BTW, I didn't see any edelbrock carbs! SteveW

Steve, back in 1998 I wrote Edelbrock and told them what a terrible On Line tech Department they had....if you had any experience with it back then it had to be designed by a moron. Anyway, Vic Jr, himself e mailed me, and thanked me for bringing this to EBrock's attention...and promised it would be enhanced and changed.... We ended up writing a little back and forth, and it went into the time frame my wife was dying. He expressed deep concern and was very nice... If I remember correctly...he had a cool e mail address on AOL...I think it was just "E" (no qoutation marks) at aol.com. Everybody always remarks about his daughters GT 350's etc run Holley's...well that's the way they were built...so I'm sure he's smart enough to keep a valuable original....ORIGINAL.... BY THE WAY...THAT'S NOT THE OTHER HALF...THAT'S THE OTHER 10% By the way...keep in touch GURU man !!!!------------------ EDDIE D Resto Mod '70 Sport Roof Arrest Me Red '02 GT, Torch Red "If I knew I would have lived this long, I would have taken better care of myself !" Got some serious dough, yeah, but he still has his butler put his pants on one leg at a time. I like Vic, i think he is a very cool car enthusiast doing just what i'd want to do given the opportunity.
