Last night, we had a local mustang get together and went to Texadelphia for subs and beer. Problem is a 69 Pontiac 400 Firebird started messing with me on the way. Well as luck would have it we both pulled up to a light with no traffic and nothing but mustangs lined up behind. What is a person to do but stand up for the mustang? Well the light turned green and he jumped me about a car length. When I hit second gear it was all over. How often do you see a 69 Firebird and a 70 Mustang Boss 302 square off at a street light. I do not endorse street racing and I can't believe I actually did it, but what a rush. So long firebird. At the next light a state trooper pulled up next to me. Can't believe he didn't see it.

Nice kill, I would have loved to seen a 69 Firebird and a 70 Boss 302 square-off.

Good job, that would have made a good picture. I love a good street race. But hate a good ticket. My last race my brother was behind us and after the race at the next light he pulled up next to me.Knowing I try to stay on top of my he says Ron it smells like something I said whats that says it smells like a ticket. I raced my pops last summer 1block from my house.I got on it and lights flashing.Good thing I knew one of the policemen. SCOOP..Street racing good, tickets bad. ------------------ 65 coupe,351w,RPM intake,Carter625,shorty headers,2.5 exhaust, Flowmasters,C4,open 8" 2:80,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,Crager SS,Black Suede. There's nothing like 2 screaming muscle era V8s battling side by side late at night on a stretch of empty backroads! I raced a friend in his 69 firebird one night on the way to Athens - he has a 350 chebbie crate engine rated at 330hp/380tq. It wasn't even close, but it sure was fun!
