Replaced pump again and still have same problem, all I can now is by-pass the relay I used, maybe there's a current drop after the pump has run awhile. I checked the voltage at the pump and meter read 12 volts but still after 10 mins. the pressure drops down to 3psi from 7.5 just sitting in my driveway at idle. Battery is new, when car is running im getting 14.4volts back at the battery. Why this problem persists is beyond me. Iv'e even tried a complete separte fuel system, tanks and lines and still have a pressure drop. Floats are closing at the carbs, No air in the lines because I used clear fuel line and watched the flow while car was running. Im going to run 10 gauge wire from the battery with switch so I bypass everything else and see what happens. Iv'e tried EVERYTHING with no avail, the relay is the only thing left to check. This is pump #3 and regualtor#3 Nobobys luck can be that bad to have all of them bad Gremlins got my car and now it's a quest to eliminate them!!!!Holley tech after 7 calls can't figure it out either..go figure.

You'll probably just have to take the car to someone familiar with fuel systems, and let them take a look. You might even let a few people look at it. Is the pump primed by gravity? Holley pumps do not suck very well as they are designed to push not pull. Next time you test do me a favor gary. As soon as you loose pressure, crack the pump INLET fitting as see if fuel comes out immediatly? ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00 & '01 Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link

Alex, I'll try that and see but I even sit a 5 gallon gas can full of gas (vented)on top of the fuel cell 2 ft. higher than the pump, if gavity dosn't work with this arrangement it's time for me to go to school!! The feed line come straight from the can down to the pump pick-up... FRom there I tried by-passing the complete line system on the car by using clear hose all the way up to the regulator (which Iv'e replaced 3 times) and then to the fuel log where gauge is then to carbs. I have noted when beging able to see with the clear hose is when you shut off the car you can watch the fuel run back to torward the tank, when you look into the tank there are bubbles and fuel returning to tank. Now, where can air be possiblty be come from other than through the needles and seats? There is NO air bubbles running throught the lines when pump is running, floats are set right at the bottom of the site holes while engine is running.???? Stumped

Gary, I am suspect that the pump is either not getting primed at all or loosing it's prime. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00 & '01 Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link
