Hey Alex, what have you heard from thr Orlando meet? TomP went down there, but won`t be back for another week. I did hear Shaun LeBlanc got the GT/A record, but I didn`t see Reds car on the SS qualifying list.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed

Red left his car at home to help Shaun and concentrate on his efforts Rory. Red was confident that Scooter Anderson could not get his SS/G record away from him and he was correct. Steve Tchetter tried for the SS/LA record but could only must a best of 10.80. The conditions were not what everyone had expected. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00 & '01 Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link

Blair Patrick went down to race SS/EA. He raced against Kenny Schindler in the second round and lost with a breakout 9.86. Don't think the track conditions were the best.------------------ Russ Hood 70s Maverick S/Pro https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/SG236.html

Several fords were there. Saleen Shaun set the GT/A record at 9.27 @ 144.50, quickest ever SS/GT stick run ever. Blair ran SS/EA, Donnie Moore ran his ex-Carl Holbrook Mustang in SS/FA. B/SA Class Final was a pair of 428 Stangs, with Bill Howell's '69 defeating Jeff Velde's '68 Shelby on a holeshot. If I can remember more info will post later. Weather was very poor for record runs there. Marty Burke did set C/SA in his '69 CJ. More later Mike

Hey Buff, I hate to dissagree with you as Red and Shaun are two of my bestest friends, but doesn't one of the Wescotts have the GT/B record at 9.25? Wouldn't that make them the owners of the quickest SSGT pass ever? ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00 & '01 Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link

the heat was bad, but the humidity was awful! Many cars didn't stay the whole weekend. That any records were set is surprising. I think Bret declined his HF/SA record after setting it. Didn't wanna tear down in those conditions just for that. Blair Patricks 68 Mustang, Donnie Moore's 68 wheelie machine and the Fairlanes of Pat Gerek and Chris Marquess, the GT/A Saleen of LeBlanc and the GT/D 351 T-Bird made for a decent Ford SS turnout.
