Hey I just read that Pat Musi made 550 extra horses with the new annular flow plate or plates that Holley/NOS is making! He's using a flow controller to do it, but golly! That's a ton of gain!

If you think about it, 550 hp gain for a motor that is 706 cubic inches is not that big a gain compared to other methods of adding power. For instance, a couple of big turbos and 15 lbs of boost would probably add more than 1000. However that is a lot for N20.

I think if I ever squeez 706 cubic inches in my car I'll be perfectly happy to remain naturally aspirated!

I agree that turbos make better horsepower than the jug however on 706 cubes the turbos would be the size of 55 gallon drums to put any real pressure to it, and the bottles can be in the rear of the car. At any rate up till now 400HP has been hard to make with the jug. I'm happy that the Holley/NOS combine is going forward.
