I am in the middle of a complete engine bay makeover and am in the process of buying braided lines for all the hoses. Would there be a down side to replacing the ugly factory steel bent lines for the tranny cooler with braided ones? Also, does anyone know the thread sizes and proper hose diameter for the lines on a C-6? I have been looking through the summit/jegs catalogs and all these "an" sizes are confusing me and this stuff is too expensive to be making many mistakes Anyone know of a cheaper place to get this stuff?

I can help you out. You will need #6 hose and 4 1/8th pipe by #6 AN male fittings. Also 4 #6 hose couplings.

As if Alex needs any backup . I looked at my C6 last night and they are 1/8 pipe, and -6 is what to use for hose. Almost all radiators have 1/8 pipe for the lines.

Yes I am sure! Aren't I always? 1 straight and 1 90 degree 1/8th pipe by #6 AN male for the trans, and two 1/8th by #6 AN male for the radiator. 4 #6 AN straight couplers and enough hose to reach should get you handled. This is the same set up we have in all three race cars and the same set up we do in all of our customers cars that we install transmissions in.
