New - still in box, Maier Racing Enterprises part #S2600. Round tube, weld-in type, DOES NOT require floorpan to be cut. Fits '64 to '70 Mustangs (except convertibles). (I put a set in my '69 & they work GREAT!) see: www.maierracing.com

Ron:
I believe you'd have to cut the "belly pan" behind the front seats (which is the foot area of the back seat). The cut would be a 2" wide and as long as the pan area. This is required because the connectors are straight and the floor pan isn't.

HOWEVER, the MRE connectors DON'T require any cutting; on my '69, they ended up within 1/2" of the floor and attached very solidly to the front and rear subframe.... (I wish I had a digital camera so I could take a few pics of mine...)

Ron,
If a guy took his time and made nice cuts and then rewelded the pan edges back to the connector (to seal & help support the floor), I'm sure it would be fine. Don't forget that the bars will stick up some into the passenger's area (would make a bulge in the carpet).

- If that sounds OK with ya, where/when do you want me to send them to ya?
