I would like to add nitrous to my 68 Mustang, "Just for SHOW", I don't intend to use it. What kit have you've seen that would look good. I think they all offer Stainless steel tanks. But, I'm more interested in how it looks under the hood. Apreciate any advise

I dont mean to be ignorant but that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard!!!That to me screams rice, I really hate it when people spend piles of money on something to make it look fast but in reality it is a slug. Your question imho is the true definition of RICE I realize it is your car, and that is great but I really dont see what value it will add to your car on the show scene other then for you to tell people its fast when in reality its not. It will not enhance how your engine compartment looks as solenoids are really not all that pretty. Good luck in your quest for the end result that you are looking for I just dont happen to agree with the way you are going about it! Unbelievable, how unfortuate you misunderstood.. The car is quite fast, will tear up most others in its class it was dyno at 306 HP, Certainly nothing special. However, the car does have some value since it a Shelby GT, and since we both know that nitrous can cause some unnecceary wear -and- I drive the car everyday. It might be a difference thought process.. Now if that's RICE then welcome to my wedding. ugh!

I am not trying to take anything away from your car(believe me i have a great love for Shelby's) but what i dont agree with is putting Nitrous on a car that you have no intentions of using.my point is , why would you put a performance enhancing product on your car, just for the looks? The car is not the object of my disdain. quote: I would like to add nitrous to my 68 Mustang, "Just for SHOW", I don't intend to use it
throwing a nitrous system (that you have no intention of ever using) on a car to make it look(maybe this is more appropriate wording) faster then it really is. Regardless of the vehicle this is my definition of rice it has no bearing on whether the car is import or domestic. this is just my opinion you may take it how you may. You know what they say about opinions....right Sorry that this is how you have been recieved into M & M it is nothing personal, it is very rare that I would spout off such negativity. By the way when is the wedding? If i can make it I spent a month in Ocala in 92, wrenching for a buddy who was racing Moto Cross there one winter. I loved that place, and have wanted to get back there ever since(someday I will). Ocala was the first place I had ever seen an asc mclaren mustang(or Capri) I cant remember which(its been a long time), I also saw my first ever Saleen while I was there plus I believe I saw what i thought was a real 427 Cobra. The memories are flooding back to me now Welcome I am interested in seeing pics of your car.

Just to add in here -- Olsnake, I dont think ragtop meant any harm, i think he was just pointing out that SOME may find youre idea dumb (I have no problem with it since its not my car!) or pointless I understand where you both are coming from for sureMaybe there is a CHEAPER way to do it....? Im sure an empty tank around the size of a nitrous bottle is cheaper than a brand new, already filled, nitrous bottle -- and since companies such as NOS sell stickers and labels etc, why dont you just find a tank, clean it up etc, put a NOS sticker(s) on it and run two hoses -- problem solved! just a thought (on a sidenote, Im gonna definitely get some criticism after I get a Boss429 scoop and plop it either onto an old Stang hood or the one i have now and have functional ram air --- on a relatively stock 6!!!! blasphemy! hahaha -- same goes with the front spoiler, the fog lights, the side stripes, the seats, the guages, etc etc etc -- Im happy with my car and remember, YOURE the only one who gets to drive your car!) so in short, i dont think ragtop meant any harm and Welcome to M&M!!!!!!! Get some pics and go over to Sams place!!!

oh yeah, under the HOOD ull only see two or three lines running to/from the base of the carb and thats it, the tank will be either in the car or in the trunk and the purge line will be somewhere else as well ------------------ Dan~ 1965 Coupe "BeeBop" 200ci Straight "6"~2.77 3-spd w/Hurst Shifter~Pertronix Elec. If you shop around you can find some real trick looking (and if you decide to, working) fogging systems and all the stainless and aluminum including the bottles can be polished to a blinding shine . There are also some fogging plates that look pretty cool, but not as awesome as a port system. I build many show cars with race parts for clients and hear guys say it's like having a sexy lady you never umm.. kiss , however while we're fixin our racers the show cars are runnin.
