Hi, just turned 16 and am ready to buy my first car, and after careful deliberation, I know I want a Cobra II, so don't try and convince me otherwise. Anyway, If I had my choice, I'd prefer a '76 with the original paint scheme, preferably white w/blue stripes or blue w/white stripes, or a '77 black w/gold stripes, but I can't pick and choose. So, If you were unfortunate enough to get one of the late '77 or '78s, with the big COBRA down the middle of the side, then I suppose I could live with painting over it, but I'd really like to keep it stock, paint and all. If anyone has one in the Pacific Northwest area (Washington, Idaho, Oregon), you would be the most preferable, but if you live in a state boardering one of those mentioned above, I'd be willing to travel to get to it. Ok, now on the matter of price, I suppose it all depends on the quality of the car. I would like to have a little something to work on, but not something run down, I suppose if I like it we can talk, no matter the condition, just as long as MOST of it is there. Thanks for your help.Lance

Lance, welcome to M&M!!! another youngn like myself! (Im 17) Good choice, I like how the CobraIIs look as well -- one thing, since its your first car, be prepared to spend some $$$ for a classic car that doesnt need much work However you might be lucky and find a gem hidden somewhere Just keep your eyes open, look at all trouble spots, and dont give up!!!! I looked for my Stang for 8 months almost and worked all summer to pay it off (damn good feeling too haha) have a good one and post over at Sam's Place - youll have fun here! ------------------ Dan - and yes, I am still called "Dan Dan The Chevy Man" to this day! haha 1965 Coupe "BeeBop" Straight "6" 3-spd manual w/Hurst Shift https://mustangsandmore.com//ubb/TheIceman.html
