I'm interested in your subframe connectors. I'm thinking about putting them on my 65 fastback. What's the difference between the two besides the price?

Robert K: The CE bars require you to cut the floorboards and weld the ends and the full length of the floor. The MRE bars are much longer and run underneath the floorboard. The MRE bars require you to only weld at the subframe ends beneath the car. Ryan

Why do you need to cut the floorpan and where exactly?

RobertK,
The floor needs to be cut because the CE connectors are straight pieces and weld between the front & rear subframes. The floorpan drops down between these locations at the "foot wells" and these would need to be cut. They end up producing 1 1/2" humps in the foot wells as the bars pass thru that area.... Ryan
