I have a question regarding drum to disc swap on my 1967 I6 4 lug mustang. I would like to swap to five lug disc brakes on the front. My question, are there 5 lug axels that will interchange with the 4 lug in the rearend. I want to avoid changing the gear ratio of 2.83 I believe. Anyone have info? Thanks

Here's a good one:

And a bit less specific:

Also, try the 'Hop To' button at the lower portion of this page. Browse the list of catagories and go to town with it

On the axle swap, I don't think there's many options out there aside from custom pieces, or R&R'ing the entire assembly for either an 8" or a 9" unit; both of which have 5 lug axles.

The 2.83 ratio indicates you have the weakling 7.5" rear end, so no beefier 8" axles will interchange.

There should be plenty of 8" rears in the bone yards available with a variety of ratios too. That would be my suggestion 67 68 cougars will have 5 luc and 8" rears that should bolt in also.

Could a set of axles from a Bronco II maybe work? Its a 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern in a 7.5. Not sure on lenth though.
