well...the new headers did't fit..too close to tower frames..going back to manifolds..these #'s were on the tubes
1. (L side)C60E 9431F..Drivers side
2. (R)side O10E-8430-C8
What do these mean..any one have a spare with these #'s...will pay shipping +cost

Just find the manifold you need by placing an ad in the Classified forum and watching ebay.

3/4" is not bad, my car has 0 clearnece on one tube. And not a rattle at all. Most the tubes are with in a 1/4" from the towes at one point.I'd run the header then you could have all the other fun that goes with them.Yes they are a pain but boy do they help to make power and they sound so SWEET.

Donnie what model header and brand were you trying to use.I think you be fine with 3/4" clearence, now long tube headers do cause more under hood heat, and make changing the plugs alot more hard.So there are some draw backs. They also can be a pain to line with with your exh,and you may have to wrap your speedo cable with some heat wrap. And you may have to move your E brack cable mount under the car over alittle, and and.
They do take alittle work but they work and once they are in you'll be happy with them.BTW my shorty tube headers fit good and did not cause any of the problems of my long tubes did.And the stock exh manifolds didn't not fit good at all on my 65 with a 69 351w in it.So headers were a most for me.

the present manifolds fit perfect..except of course for the cracked one.ha....I can still retreive the previous ordered ones and have them returned....but JUST MAY go back to a manifold..IF I can find one.....I am happy with just manifolds...its just a little drive about showy car anyway...nothing too special..the girls love it., headers or not..
