In my 66, there is the cross bar, 1" black, across mid-center/....I have been given a Monte Carlo bar...should I change, and/or could I just leave the black center bar in place/w/MC....whata you think?

The best bars are always the ones that have the longest happy hour.

DONNIE,
I may be stupid, but from your description it sounds as if you already have a monte carlo bar in place. Just my $.02.

Kinda thinking the same thing, it may be a straigt stock monte carlo bar. Maybe Donnie is thinking of a curved monte carlo bar or the export brace. Just throwing out a few thoughts.

Both the straight bar and the curved are Monte Carlo bars. The curved is easier to remove your distr. cap tho.

the export brace ties the two shock towers to the firewall so to speak and where used in exportation of vehicle (over seas) the monte carlo bar i believed got its name from the races in monte carlo where they needed a stiffer front end (more rigid if you must) road racing stuff Bruce
