Swiss Cheese that is! Picked up the 64.5 Indy from the media blaster yesterday. The Cheese in the floor pans, passenger rear quarter and around the back window. It's ALWAYS worse than you expect.Photos of INDY. Swiss Cheese is in the last few photos at bottom of age. YUCK! J.

It doesn't,t look that bad for a 39 year old car. it will be very nice when it is done. What was the final $$$ for the strip job? How are you set up for true 64 headlight doors, if you need any I have 2 originals for a 64, they have the proper indentations in them. Thanks John, Have a good set of headlight buckets. Mike says they are usually cracked, fortunately these are good.Need a 64 C4 tranny. It had a 67 in it. White 64 lock knobs. Original 64 arm rest bases. Blue seat belts? Might just have the black ones rewebbed. Will need to fork out some bucks for Carlite windshield. Most of the 64.5 hard to find stuff was still on the car. Although in need of good clean up. The original bumpers will be rechromed. J.

Joyce, are you happy with the results? The media blasting not the cheese. How much did it end up total? You said around 4-500.00 did you come close? Did they use walnut shells, sand, glass, aluminum oxide, caribide or plastic for the media?

Like you said in a earlier post, they have to get ugly before they get pretty again. At least you have a car that is worth the effort required for a complete restoration. Have you checked the cowl? Usually the cause of cheesey floor boards. It is amazing how good the car looked before the paint removal.

Joyce, Considering the age of the Pace Car, she isn't that bad. I know that we have all looked at mustangs and other cars that have a lot more cancer. I can't wait to see what she looks like when you two are done. Hang in there.Dave & Terri ------------------ '65 Mustang Fastback '02 Explorer XLT I don't suffer from insanity. I was told it was walnut shells. But there appears to be white plastic grainy stuff inside the car. No my estimation of $500 wasn't even close $40/hr x 32 hrs!!!!! Got a "deal" for $900!!!!! What the heck, it's only a few more OT shifts! The cowls are in good shape. Surprising cuz they usually are uglier than some of the other places rust likes to lurk. Mike's putting it on the rotisserie as I type. What doesn't show in the photos are dents in the rear quarter that were filled with bondo. Poor little pony has had a rough life. But after this resto, it'll have an easy life as a trailer princess. We're hoping to haul it to Nashville for the 40th next year. J.
