installed a new speedometer cable today because the old one broke from being too short so in getting the new one its 82" length does it matter if its too long as long as its out of the way of exhaust and any other major heat. dont want too drive it until i know for sure. thanks

I just attached a new one -- I don't know the length 'cos it's already in, but I do know that by the time it reaches the point where it goes through the firewall to the dash, I still have TWO FEET left over!!! Any suggestions what to do with that? It doesn't seem like a good idea to put a coil in it.

You could pull the cable alittle past the trans and loop it back to were it connects. And under the dash you could leave a big bow in it before it goes out the fire wall.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html
