I just noticed in their 2002 catalog that they have a 2 ・ exhaust system that is said to mimic the 65-6 dual exhaust system. Has anybody used or seen this? I was wondering if it was mandrel bent or had the factory type kinks in it. They have setups for 65-73 and with or without headers.

While placing an order today I asked them about the pipes. They said it was identical to the stock ones but with larger pipe. I guess its better than stock but not as good as mandrel bent.

I・m just kind of poking around right now. I・d like to put a nice duel system on the coupe but I really cant see spending to much on that since I・m working on a 351w stroker.------------------ Ed S. 68 S-code FB GT 4spd(now C6)/3.25 PS PDB 68 J-code(now 289) Cp Sprint"B" C4/3L00-9" PDB PS AC 99 F150 XLT Ext/cab, 4X4, 5.4L, 3L55 95 Exploder XLT with the works! Summit lists a full mandrel bent 2 1/2" exhaust system by Flowmaster for 65-66 Mustangs. part# FLO-17273 $319.95 includes h-pipe, delta flow mufflers, and nice tailpipes. I was considering it myself for my 331. It could probably be adapted to your car.Dan ------------------ 1966 Mustang Coupe: Custom glass hood and BIG scoop sits atop a 289 stroked to 331 c.i., Steel crank and girdle, 5.4 H-beams, Forged slugs, TFS alum. heads, ported Stealth 8020 intake, CompCams Xtreme Solid Roller, Holley 750 HP, long tubes, 4speed, 9" 3.50 posi. e.t. 12.50 @ 112 mph

Looking at that system I dont think it's mandrel bent. I got my system at a local shop for $150 installed but my does dump at the axle.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

It's mandrel bent.If you can't go for the full $320, at least spring for the Flowmaster $99/pair mandrel bent 2.5" tailpipes. The tailpipes are where the tightest bends are, and are where the mandrel bending process will deliver the best gains. Would this system fit 67? possibly I'm not happy with the current system on mine hangs down to low especially with headers.

I・m still poking around with the idea of spending money on the 302 I have but would rather spend it on the 351. I think Mike told me about the FlowMaster tail pipes a while ago when I was asking about their American Thunder system. I have a friend that installed it on a Cougar and it fits well and sounds nice but is too loud for me. I・m hooked on the sound of a good turbo muffler.

Nope! It・s not mandrel bent according to the guys at NPD. But it has to be better than a stock 1-7/8・.
