just so you know, if you HAVE been to www.fordsix.com and look under the tech articles and do a search, you can see taht you can bolt up a T-5 from a 4cyl Fox Mustang, or the T-5 from V8 Fox, depending on the current 3-speed you have and the bellhousing you have.

If you want more specific help/assistance, you need to give some more specific information about your current setup

And I say go to www.fordsix.com again and do a closer search -- just check back like to page 2-4 in the Drivetrain Forum and youll see numerous posts and info about T-5 swaps
best bang for the buck for our sixes -- and Ill stand by that!!!!

You have the same tranny choices as you would have if you had a V8. With the proper parts, you can bolt up anything from a T10 to a Tremec 3550. For a 200, I'd suggest the 4-cyl T-5. They are cheap and have a pretty low 1st gear which is great for the 6. You also won't have to change out your rear, you'll have plenty of go in all gears, have overdrive and get even better gas mileage. With the torque of the 200, you'll be killing ricers off the line all over the place.

There are distinctly different ways to get a T-5 behind your 200, based on which setup you currently have. Answer 2 questions: 1) How many bolts hold your starter on and 2) Is your 1st gear synchronized.

Scenario 1:
3-bolt starter, non-synchronized 1st gear.

You use this adapter plate

Scenario 2:
2-bolt starter, non-synchronized 1st gear.

You use this plate

Scenario 3:
2-bolt starter, synchronized 1st gear

You use this plate

Any questions, go to FordSix.com, or check out some of the info on my page, inlinepages.com
