A good while back, on the net or in a magazine, there was an article on updating to a dual exhaust. The article used manufactured parts ordered from a company like Walker or Flowmaster. I want to put 2 1/4" duals on my '67. I would like to know what company and what part numbers were used. Does anyone have this info or done this? Thanks, Charlie[This message has been edited by MidLifCrisis (edited 02-06-2003).]

About a month ago I went to Matt's Muffler here in St. Louis and they put straight duals on my 68. Used mostly Flowmaster pieces and they got 2 1/2 inchers to fit with 2 chamber mufflers like everyone here talked me into. I will say the Flowmasters are louder than I expected.

Toronado3800 Thanks for the tip. I will look for a Flowmaster dealer in my area. Otherwise, I'll just place an order with NPD. This will be my fourth in two weeks and I was trying to source locally to save freight. As for Flowmasters, I will go with a Turbo Muffler so I can hear the radio. Charlie I just went to a local guy.He did a great job.I got his name from going to car shows and asking around. He was a lot cheaper then a kit,and he did a great job.I've looked all over for a kit for your car,No luck yet. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

You can't do better than a good muffler shop. I still have all of our custom exhuast work done at our muffler shop. (except headers) Better fit, nice look, and no rust or crap in your eyes. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Just have the muffler shop install a set of $99 Flowmaster 2-1/2" mandrel bent tailpipes. (you'll probably have to supply those) They sure are pretty, work, and fit really well!
