Well, its gonna be time to test drive the 68 soon, and if I don't have it insured something is bound to happen. Anyone have a favorite classic insurance company? Grundy.com, who I've never heard of before advertises no mileage restrictions like another company I called.

We use Hagerty's Classic Auto Insurance. They are on the net and you can't beat the price. We pay less than $200.00 a year for full coverage, stated value, on our '65. No milage restrictions, either. Check them out. You will be pleased.

I've also got Hegartys. No problems at all, but then again, seeing how I'm 3,000 miles away, the car just sits in the garage.

I have insurance with Nationwide. I don't insure my pony for full coverage because I don't drive it but maybe a few weeks out of the year, and I just take my chances. I pay 150.00 basic coverage for the year.

Great info, Dave and Nic! I just looked up Hagerty's site and got a quote based on a 'high' estimated value of my car, and it's still better than the premiums I'm paying now for less coverage. Thanks guys!

I too use Hagerty's. I used to use Nationwide thinking that the multi-car discount would offset the savings I might get elsewhere. I also had no collision since I didn't drive it much. Now I have no mileage limits, and $7500 stated value insurance, and I still come in cheaper than Nationwide was giving me. There are some stipulations though, like must have it in a garage, etc. Fortunately, I had them all covered!

Your Welcome! Glad to be a help. I to shopped around for insurance and couldn't beat what Hagerty's has to offer. Enjoy saving a few bucks to buy new parts for the Stang.

Thanks for all the input. I think I'm going to give Grundy's a try.

One reason is the relatively low coverage limits posted on Hagerty's web site. $50,000 doesn't go so far if you have a bad accident or an accident with someone with a good lawyer.

Also, a local Haggerty rep told me they now had a 2,500 mile a year limit. My mother has worked for a "Big" insurance company and with the stories I hear when I vist, I just don't trust them. No offense mom!
