I bought some 15 X 7 steel style wheels a few years ago and never had the chance to put them on yet. I was wondering what kind of tires I should get. Currently I'm looking at the Bfgoodrich Radial T/A and the Dunlop GT Qualifier T, which tire should I get out of these two? Are there any other tires I should look at? What size should I get? Any thoughts are appreciated. THanks.

I really like the BFG tires then give a good ride, and have good traction. They are not real expensive either. How wide of a rear tire are looking for.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

It's a 67 C code he has. There may be others out there but BFG's are the coolest. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Got my 215/14/60 BFG's from the Tire rack. Even after shipping it was only about $200 for the four of them, then BFG had a $50 rebate going at the time. They also have a neat tire selector feature. www.tirerack.com

When I had the 15/7 styled steel wheels on my 65FB I ran 225/60/15 with no rub.Tires are always a personal preference as to the type of driving you plan on doing.

My first set of rubber when I bought rims were BFGs. Never really cared for them. Been running Dunlop for a long time now ------------------ 2BAV8 Mustang www.geocities.com/2bav8 1966 Restomod Coupe

Anybody ever try Yokahama's? They are rated best for performance all season at that tirerack.com site? And they are same price or cheaper than BFG's.

I put Yokahamas on my '93. They were pretty nice. Lasted me about 30k miles. Can't expect much more than that from a soft tire. Overall, I liked them. I had difficulty putting a name like that on a classic though. I stuck with the Firestones for the classic.

I had the A-509s on my 65FB from Yokohama and they were the best all around street performance tire I had run with an aggressive tread pattern.I use my car for open track,street,auto-x and the occasional trip down the 1/4 mile. The bad part as I wore them out they quit making them.I now have Kuhmo and though they havnt run the gauntlet they seem fine.

I have Goodyear Eagles P205/65R-15's all around on my '65 fastback. They have good all around balance appearing neither too big or too small or too racy. Original diameter (speedo consideration) is maintained for my '65.
