Has anyone used south side machine life bar on a 67-70 mustang. Did they help with traction. Need help with traction on a 67 fastback with 460 C-6 with 389 gear.

Not since the early 70's when I had long hair, a beard and wore bell bottoms. Many superior choices available. Cal-Track, C&E slide-a-link etc. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." That's freaky!?! I was just about ask the same question. I have a set for my '65 and was wondering the same thing. It's a street car that will see some action on test-n-tune nights. looking forward to some good responses. Todd.

I just put a pair on my 65 late last summer year,I raced witout them I ran a 2.6 60foot,with them I went to a 2.2 60 foot. The only other things I changed at that time was tire pressure, and I added 75lbs in the trunk. The lift bars make the ride more shift. But that dose not bother me.I know like Alex said there are better traction bars out there. But mine were used so I got them cheap and they have helped for now. They even seemed to make the car hadle better too.

Thats funny you said that Alex, because for the 1st time since I was 18 years old I letting my hair grow long, and I have alot more face hair now too.No bell bottoms but my wife just started weaing bell bottoms. I know I'm one of the few people on here that LIKED,and still likes the look of the cars from the 70's.Jacked up tires sticking out over sized hood scoops, ect. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

I'm in a similar situation. I have the SSM bars already... for cheap. Maybe not the best around, but better than nothing, I figure. I'm rebuilding the car and I'm having a problem on saying "when". I dive into something and leads to something else (the while-i'm-at-it scenario)... and on and on. Does it ever stop? Your last question 1st NO it never stops. And if you already have them then I'd say use them. They helped my car with traction alittle. But again they do affect the ride.Thats not a big deal to me,but may be for some.
