After almost two months of messing with breaker pionts (unsuccesfully) because my ignitor I failed, i received the ignitor II. I had been a lazy bum and taken too long to send the old one back, but Pertronix were very quick and curtious and sent me an upgrade (I made up the difference in $). The ignition now works great except that because i have the pink resistor wire installed I need to bypass it. I tried it out by running the car with a wire attatched from battery to coil, hotwired it you could say, and it ran fantastically. In fact it took me by surprise and I nearly span the car on the wet road out front of my house. Life is good and I can sit back and relax over christmas now. I may not get the chance to check the boards or my email over Xmas so have a merry Christmas everyone !!

Indyphil, The bypass wire is any easy job.I have the same set up.My car ran better with the new II unit then it did with the ign I unit.Part of it maybe the full volts to the coil. SCOOP
