Hope someone can help me.I need to get the window felts out of a 66 coupe. On my 68 there was a bolt I removed in the rear of the door and a rubber stopper on the bottom of the door that the window sat on. After I removed these the window would roll down further than normal allowing access to the felts.I found and removed this rubber on the 66 but it still won't go down beyond where it normally sits.I removed a couple of bolts in the back of the door but no luck.

Don't know for sure, butt I'd pop the door panel and loosen up the assmebly. That should get it down low enough.

You must have missed a stop. That's why I like using shop manuals, I never have to wonder.

I'll have to look at my shop manual when I get home.
But I think you have to take the glass out of the door,to change the felt. You can leave the window in but then it's in the way.
And I could be wrong about this.

Thanks guys.I found the bolts, one stops the travel of the window regualator.Once I loosened the bolt and removed the rubber from inside the bottom of the door the glass will roll down inside the door and leave the felts exposed so you can remove and replace them
