I've noticed that on all my Mustangs, there is not one 'FORD' emblem anywhere on the car,( not including the '87) inside or out!(Not counting the engine compartment) That strikes me as a little odd, considering that the 'FORD' emblem is plastered everywhere on every other FORD vehicle I have ever owned. Any thoughts on this?------------------

If you have a 71, there should be a ford emblem on each sill plate. Just off hand that is the only place I can place one on my 72 Mach 1.

At some point in time (50s???), Ford stopped using the blue oval on their cars, particularly on the outside. I think there was some type of "coat-of-arms" or "crest" kind of emblem that they used. Then sometime in the early 80s???, they resurrected the oval and started putting them on their cars again. My 85 GT has one on the trunk and the grill. The 66 Fastback has them on the chrome door sill trim; but none anywhere else. ------------------ Bernie Frank 66 Fastback restomod project 85 GT (preserved) 82 GT (original)

If you have a 65, 66, or 67 does the letters F-O-R-D across the front of your hood count??? Unless you have a ShelbyMike

Yeah, I forgot about the emblems on the sill plates. It just strikes me odd that Ford would not want thier name prominently displayed somewhere on the outside of the vehicle.------------------

Or took the lettering off so it won't interfere with a Flamed Hood.. ------------------ Don '66 Fastback 302 with 5 speed Royal Blue Metallic w/Ghost Flameshttps://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/BigD.html We Will Never Forget [This message has been edited by Big D (edited 11-02-2002).]

There are some on sidemarkers and other lamps, too, in addition to other parts. I seem to run into them all the time. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150
