Welcome to M&M Sid ! You can locate your VIN number either on the drivers side shock tower flat, near where the fender joins it, between the core support and the hood hinge. Or, as long as the door is the original or at least the tag, your protectoplate is located on the drivers door near the latch mechanism. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Face me and point to my right arm!! (I've been waiting for years to to that.) Just kidding. A car has a left side and right side no matter which way you're facing. The VIN tags didn't show up at the base of the windshield until 1968 - on the right side - and then the left side in 1969.
