Well, got the motor in today The car has been without drivetrain for two years, it spent at least a year or that time without fenders or hood. Now that the motor and trans are back in, the front end is still up a bit high . Ok, so the aluminum heads and manifold gotta be worth 60-70 lbs, but will the coils settle some with time?

The front end will settle after it is on the road and the car has a few miles on it , and , has seen a bump or two. All coils will suffer a little bit of metal fatigue after they have been bounced around a bit. I had the same problem with my 68 coupe 200 6cyl. It took about 8 months but it sat down real nice and has a nice profile now. Don,t worry about it Todd , it will all work out and you will have a great looking car, and , from what I have seen of it , it already is a head turner. Also,It'll settle once you roll it a few feet. The suspension geometry with the wheels hanging is different than when there's weight on it, but the tires won't find their new home until it rolls. SteveW
