My driver's side door on my '66 doesn't always open, so I pulled the little flimsy panel off the inside of the door and discovered that a little plastic piece at the end of the rod had been busted off. Can anyone direct me to the best place to obtain this piece and does anyone have any tips for installing it? It looks like it will be a job to work my fingers around back in there.
Thanks for any help.

NPD carries those parts in stock. You can access their website from here.

There are plastic ones (bad) and nylon and steel ones (good). Simply rotate the clip off the rod, then pull rod out. To replace, put clip in place, thread rod into clip then rotate clip to engage rod. I bought the original nylon/steel clips from my local Mustang parts vendor, $1 each.

They are cheap to replace.but with my short fat hands it was not easy for me to reach in there. It helped me to loosen the latch alittle.
