Is the spacer to intake gasket on a stock SB 4V suppose to be the same as the as the carb to spacer gasket? The one I pulled off from between the spacer and the intake is a thin metal plate with a rubberized looking gasket on each side! The area stores keep pulling up Felpro 60046 and it looks like some little kid went to work on a piece of paper with a pair of scissors. Its not even close to the one that came off the intake let alone the carb to spacer gasket that came in the carb rebuild kit!

Have installed a standard carb gasket on both sides of the spacer (Mine is a 1" heat spacer) and it has worked fine for 2 years

The original was a heat sheild type that was a metal shim covered with paper. Use the Fel-Pro HP 4 hole gaskets with the sticky on them.

Alex,

Do you happen to have a part number for that? Also should I peel the old paper off and use the original shield?

Do you happen to have a part number for the gasket? When I mention HP 4 hole gaskets, the goobs behind the parts counters start sweating and say that they need more info to enter in to the computer!

What happened to when they could just open up a book?

1901 is the Fel-Pro performance gasket number. This is for the four hole Holley flange.
I HATE MORONS THAT WORK THE COUNTER AT CHAIN PARTS STORES!

Thanks Alex!
