Thought I'd make a new post...took parts of all the great suggestions and GOT IT !!!!! Loosened all the apron bolts, and with the hood wide open, I pushed BACK and DOWN until I saw the hinges move in both directions. Then I had my son in law, start tightening things up, as fast as he could, (since I'm old)... The hinge geometry will fool you...you look at it in a "Common Sense" way, and it will frustrate the hell out of you... It is constant loosening , adjusting, tightening...over and over. But the way I did it...I got it the first time..it's 98% correct, and I'm dying to get the other 2 %, but so scared I'll screw it up. It's now where only I can notice the "slight" up position in the back...really minimal, but just maybe I'll mark EVERY BOLT..and go for that 2 %.. Thanks all...this is one for the "Archives" obviously.

Judging by the looks of your car Eddie I know your not gonna be happy with 98% alignment !!! Why don't you ask other people what they think of the fit and if no one else notices that 2% then leave it be for the time being ?!?!?------------------ Conciousness - that annoying time between naps. Did it have problems with both hinges or just one? My 69 is like that on the drivers side. I will have to try that tonight.------------------ Dustin C 56 F-100 Mech. for wifes 69 Mustang coupe 65 Plymouth Barracuda 70 Dodge Swinger

OK...here goes.... Tomorrow...2 Valium...decaf coffee...and a try for the 2%..I'm going to mark everything's place...all I need is to push both sides back about an 1/8 inch... Scoop....leaving for Reno at 1AM...will be picking up KK and Dave at around 4AM... Hell Fish...just the passenger side was up on mine..but when you get it right, the other side just seeme to fit better also....I'm telling you, studying the way that hinge works will drive you nuts... It;s almost as if...you look at what would probably fix it and do the opposite.... A 2 man job though I found out. Glad the post helped you '68...and Ken, I am going for it....my whole life was 100%...too bad 90% of that was stupidity ------------------ EDDIE D Resto Mod '70 Sport Roof Arrest Me Red '02 GT, Torch Red "If I knew I would have lived this long, I would have taken better care of myself !"
