Got my 70 Mach 1 with the new 537hp 408c stroker back on the road this weekend. All I can say is WOW!!. I have a problem though.
If I get on it pretty good and have to stop, it doesn't want to. It is four wheel manual drum brakes. Who makes the best manual 4 wheel disc brake conversion kit?

Ron, I just e-mailed the engine builder to send me pictures. He was at Atco Dragway yesterday and took pictures. I don't have any yet but as soon as I do I will post them. Got the car out of the body shop at 7:10pm Sat. night. We wet sanded and buffed the hole car. I wiped off the interior and cleaned the wheels real quick. Got to a local cruise night at 7:30pm. Everyone loved the car. They all thought the new hood was steel, that's how good it looks. The underneath looks fantastic. It took him six months but I guess it was worth it. The car runs great. I love driving it. Driving to Atco Dragway yesterday was a pleasure. It's a 30 mile trip. I cruised down the highway about 55 mph about 2800rpm with my 430'S and it just pured. I think it rides better with the frame ties in. The power is awsome.
I left the Cruise Night Sat. about 9:30 pm came back to the shop and put it on the lift. I cleaned until 3am and then came back at 7am and cleaned till 9:30am. Got to Atco about 10:30am. I'm exhausted but it was worth it. And by the way I did take a trophy home. Unfortunitly this show does not have Best Of Show. It's great to feel young again. RAY

Ron, no I didn't run it. They have a car show also. I love this show since I park it in the show, go watch the racing and forget aboujt it. There were some really fast cars. It must be older than 1972 so it's not all new cars and Ricers. They had a lot of Mopars and Mustangs. There where 3 Mercury Cougars, Cyclones, Fairlanes, Galaxies all running 10's and 11'2 on motor. The winner of the Super Pro was a 57 Chevy from NY. The best part is it's a four speed and he consistantly ran 9.80. There were at least 400 cars running. The was a 65 Plymouth N/SS going 9.75 and street drivin Street Rods going 10.0's. AA/GS Willy's, you name it. Old Funny cars and Dragsters. It's always a great meet, they have another one in the fall. They have been putting on two of these events per year for years. RAY

Do you run the ever?
It's one bad *** car you have there.Cant wait to see the new hood on it.

I've only ran my 86 Capri. It goes 12.80's. The Mach should be in the 11's but I don't want to have to put a cage in it. RAY
