i bought some new spark plugs and wires and dist, cap, rotor, etc. yesterday and i put all the plugs in on the right side of the engine first and everything was fine. then i go to the pass. side(left side) and i cant get a socket on the plug because it hits the exhaust manifold. what is this about? my 65 didnt have this problem, but for some reason this 66 fastback has a prob. with this. is there any tool i can use to remove the plugs or do i have to remove my exhaust mainfold? any sugg? thanks.------------------

Are you saying the socket is to wide to fit.Or is it that the socket will not go over the plug becuase there is not enough clearnce?There is a spark plug socket that has one side cut out of it.So it can fit around things better. SCOOP ------------------

I had the same problem. A thinwall socket took care of the issue for me. Good luck!------------------
