I'm looking for anyone's recomendations on primer and paint for my '65 engine compartment. Specifically, what brands you've used and whatever comments you may have about them. I do have a spray gun and an air compressor. Also, the motor & trans are out, fenders are off, and I'm going to strip the engine compartment down to metal before I get real serious.

First, treat the exposed metal with metal cleaner and conditioner, then spray the exposed metal with a self etching primer. Then spray it all with primer/sealer, then your top coat.------------------
