Fellas,

Thanks so much for all your effort to get my car running. You have been such a great help!

Here were the problems with my swap...

1. rubbing flywheel was due to the drain plugs not properly placed in the holes on the flywheel.... this bent the flywheel and ruined the starter.

2. valves were too tight

3. electrical problem... well my friend had the fireing order mixed up

4. Trans problem with the crossover bar... well we added a new piece. The linkage from the floor shifter to the trans also had to be legnthened.

I wish you all could hear it. Maybe you will. Well off to work on the body. Again, thanks and Merry Christmas to you all.

Ralph

Ralph,
You need to make an entry in the Technical Archives on "Things Not to Do in a V-8 Swap"

Have fun with it you earned it.

Great job Ralph. It took a lot of perseverance to work through all the things you had to change to make it run and drive. You are a role model for the rest of us that are still working on our cars.

Very cool Ralph! Leaving the ranks of the I6's I see . Lol, dont tell anyone but I am tossing around the idea of putting a 393W (351 stroked) into the '65 .
