#1. Anyone know who makes a GOOD "CLOTH" REPLACEMENT front seats for a '70 Mustang which will adapt to the original seat brackets.....either a nice bucket or high back race type with cutouts for a harness.. #2. I want to remove the rear bench seat, close off the trunk with the sheet metal "Bolt on" trunk/pass compartment seperator from Canadian Mustang $69.99. And finish it off with black rug etc... #3 Want to add the E Brock performer Nitrous kit with a 75 or 100 HP shot and mount the tank in the back seat area on the drive shaft hump..(so I can open the valve whenever I want)what safety NHRA requirements will I need. Do you recommend a "Purge Valve" for N2O? #4 Going to swith from the E Brock Mechanical fuel pump to the Holley "BLUE" electric pump with regulator, upgrade the spark to a Crane box with coil and drop one step colder to autolite 3923's plugs.... #5 Running Fed Mogul hyperutectic pistons (flat tops) with a low to mid 10 C/R with a 61cc Comb Chamber. Been told these pistons are OK up to 100 or 125 HP N2O. Do I sound like I'm on the right track here ?? Thanks.....------------------ EDDIE D Resto Mod '70 Sport Roof Arrest Me Red

Enter the world of Nitrous with Caution Eddie. Absolutly get the purge valve. Any 1984 and up T-Bird or Cougar seat will bolt in with a minimum of effort. They are available at most junk yards for $50 a pair or less. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00 & '01 Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link

In a book I have about nitrous tuning, the exact quote is:"You don't want to use hyperutectic pistons in a nitrous engine. They'll take a lot of pressure, you can stand a mountain on them, and they won't break under the weight, but the minute you ring them with the frequency that nitrous causes when it detonates they shatter like glass. They break, they don't melt." It seems to be the same thing that manufacturers of both pistons and nitrous kits say- use forged pistons. Or be sure you never detonate, I guess. ------------------ Kyle Laramore 63 Fairlane 66 Mustang coupe 73 Mach 1
