I am putting an EFI 5.0 engine in my 69 Coupe out of a 77 LTD C/V & I want to change the cam, do I have to use a cam specific the an EFI engine? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike.------------------ Mike & Robin 65 Mustang Fastback 69 Mustang Coupe 87 LTD CV 96 Ranger Extd Cab PU 99 Explorer Sport M&M #- 890 MCA #- 04549

First off they didn't have EFI in 77 so I assume you mean 87. You can use any cam for a 5.0L Computer controlled roller motor but it will be for a HO engine. That sounds like it would not be an HO engine. You would have to change to a 351w firing order and change the wires around in the injector harness to that firing order, and use an HO computer. If you not useing the injection you can use any 5.0L roller cam but you will still have a 351w firing order.RAY------------------ RAY .
