Hey everyone,This is a heck of a first post. Here goes... I am getting a great deal on a 302 69 Couple 3 spd. My only problem is that I am clueless as to what is available for this car, where to get it, and how to learn about it. I know a lot about cars, but my knowledge is limited to modern-day engines and models. It may sound stupid, but the less tech an engine has, the less I understand it. Can you help me? Engine tips as well as body information and general restoration tips would be absolutely wonderful. Thanks to everyone for everything. -Dog ------------------ "Where does he get those wonderful toys"

AlphaDog, Welcome to Mustangsandmore.com. Glad to have you here. Your best bet is to start reading all the posts in this forum and the racing forum. Ask lots of questions. That is what we are all here for. To help each other out with our Mustangs. Also, use the links at the top of the page for National Parts Depot (great part source) and the Jim Osborne link for awesome manuals covering everything on a Mustang. Also, please stop by Sam's Place and say "Hi" to the gang. They will all welcome you. Again, welcome to the M&M extended family. Alpha, you need a '69 shop manual (available in paper or CD, take your pick), the Jim Osborn factory assembly manuals (body, electical, chassis and engine are available for '69) are a MUST-have, and a good "how-to-restore" book probably wouldn't hurt, there are a few on the market. Either us (NPD) or Osborn, or any other Mustang parts supplier for that matter, should be able to provide you with those basics. There's a TON of parts suppliers out there, buy a classic Mustang magazine from any news stand and you'll have them at your fingertips. Congrats, you got (IMHO) the sharpest year Mustang made!! (again, IMHO).

Gee Rick. I really wonder why your so keen on the '69 Stangs. Could it be the '69 428CJ Coupe that you own? LOL Just a little fun. Dave & Terri ------------------ Poison Ivy '65 Fastback Modified 289 4V, C-4 w/shift kit, dual exhaust, styled steel wheels, 2.80:1 limited slip rear, rally pac, A/C

Thanks a ton for the info.I was thinking that I want to read and learn as much as possible before starting. Those literature ideas you all had are a great start. Hopefully the deal will go through. -Dog ------------------ "Where does he get those wonderful toys"
