Hi All,
I have a 70 MACH I and I want to open a hole for the scoop. I plan to open the inside and put small trim around the sheet metal perimiter hole to give it a finished look. I don't drive the car in the rain so water is not a problem. I would think allowing cooler air in would be a great thing. Has anyone else done this? Please give me your comments good and bad. The shaker option is expensive and I'm not interested in doing that right now but opening the current scoop would be free and easy.

Thanks,
Ralph-

A man here put a bolt on Shelby scoop on his 66 and made is functional. He cut a neat opening and trimmed the edge with black windlace as his hood is black underneath.
