The Edelbrock Performer and Performer RPM are drilled for standard vintage accessories. I do believe the Windsor aluminums are also drilled.Mike

Alex and Mike. Thanks for the answers. I couldn't think of a much worse situation than to discover this problem at the 11th hour. That'll tighten up the ol' sphincter muscle!

Mellow, You can stay within the Ford family of cast iron heads and run into the same problems. Just compare an head cast in cleveland foundry and a Windsor cast head. Different spacing between holes and thread sizes on some. All for a 289.Mike

Geez Mike, My dad thought I was crazy when I mentioned to him that acc. bolt sizes on the sets of heads we have laying around were different.. k-code: Man, we never stop learning!! Talk about throwing S&it in the game!! I just assumed that ALL(read my lips!}ALL 289's came from the Windsor foundry. DUH!! That explains a small problem that I had with my 65 which has a 5.0 with e-9 block and heads. I experienced a couple problems hooking up everything for that "original" look! Thanks!

Mello, In my collection of books I've collected over the past who knows how many years, probably the most informative and most accurate is the book called "Mustang & Ford Small Block V8 1962-1969". by Bob Mannel its about $50 but it is actual photos based on research done personally by Bob, each year covers the complete engine in order: Engine core, Valve train, Induction, Exhaust, Lubrication, Ventilation, Cooling, Ignition, Gen/Alt, Accessories. Not just for Mustangs but for all Fords. The photos are of actual motors and parts that have been pulled for cars, not many file photos from Ford. Well worth the investment.Mike

K-code: Thanks for the reminder about the book. We met Bob at the 35th Anniv. in Charlotte. He is a sharp guy and very personable. One of the guys bought his book. It's too bad that he couldn't get the right backing for marketing his book.
