This Arizona Mustang, dubbed "Zonie Pony", was last purchased November 22, 1997.
Jim is the forth owner of this car since it rolled on to the asphalt in San Jose,
California. A 289c.i. 4v Challenger V8, mildly modified, provides the streetable
power. The engine is dressed with an Edelbrock filter housing, a K&N element,
& is flanked on each side with chrome valve covers.
Updates have been done by the adding of a rotary a/c compressor, a Pertronix
Ignitor Ignition System, & dual exhaust. Power continues through a C-4 cruise-o-matic,
mildly modified, then on to a limited slip differential. The exterior is painted
with a clear coat over Ferrari red. The interior is black with an even number
of chrome & exterior red accents. Adjacent to the stock instrument panel is a
Sunpro Tachometer to keep track of the revs. A Pioneer a/m,f/m,c/d stereo
pumps out the "oldies" through the four speaker when we go out to enter in the
weekend car shows.
