Guys,
My 2001 F350 Super Duty is stuck in 4x4 low for some reason.I took the truck to one of those full service car wash this morning and when they were finished cleaning the inside and outside I got in the truck and noticed the electronic 4x4 switch was on 4x4 low and I cant get it into 2wd.

I checked the front hubs and they are not locked.Any idea what could be wrong before I take it to the dealer and spend who knows how much on diagnostic testing?

Thanks for the advise.

I got mine stuck and it would not go into 4x4 low. I was so p/o 'd, I really wanted to get rid of the truck. Then I read in the manual, you have to switch to neutral AND press on the brake pedal for it to go into Low. I was stuck, couldn't move and never ever thought about the brake pedal.

I seached our house inside and out for the manual and still can't find it.I even checked every fuse but I was fairly certain the 4x4 worked off vaccum.

I've never had the truck in 4x4 low range before, never needed it.well anyway got it figured out and felt like a moron having to post a question.

I figured mine out the hard way too. You have to have moderate pressure on the pedal too.
