I recently bought a 9", 31 spline center section and axles from a 1974 Ford Pickup. The data plate on the door lists "17J". I can decode the 17( 3.25 ), but does anyone know what the "J" is? Thanks.

17J is not an axle code, it's October 17. The axle code would be found under axle on the door tag.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '70 Mustang Convertible - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 XL
